Things to know: 

• Only 1.4 miles roundtrip from to the summit and back.

• A beautiful 45 minute drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway from downtown Asheville.

• This is located at a very high elevation so the temperatures are typically at least ten degrees cooler than in downtown Asheville.

• The Blue Ridge Parkway closes when icy conditions are present on the roadway making this location inaccessible on the coldest days. Luckily we can always check this map to make sure.
