Buck Spring Gap Overlook

Located on the Blue Ridge Parkway, this easy location is 40 minutes from Asheville. Has views of the mountains from the parking lot/overlook. There is a very short loop hike from the parking lot that has wildflowers when in season, forested areas, a field, and another mountain view in the middle of the hike.

Things to know:

• Great location for those that don’t want to do a lot of walking from the parking lot. Short loop hike is mostly flat.

• Perfect for families with small kids.

• East facing overlook make this a great location for morning sessions.

• Beautiful yellow wildflowers in bloom in August.
