FAQS

FAQS
For all ages

General:
Where are sessions held?
Since I specialize in on-location portraiture, most sessions take place either in and around your home or at a park or public location of your choice that may hold sentimental value for you.

When and how will I see the results?
You will be given access to a confidential online gallery within four weeks of the shoot to discuss your images and make your album selections.

Do you offer gift certificates?
Absolutely! Portraits are fantastic and unique gifts to give.  Feel free to contact us for more information.

For Mommies:
When should I have my Maternity portrait taken?
The closer to your due date the better.  I’ve found that anything before 32 weeks does not quite capture the beauty of your belly as a later term shoot would.

Do I have to bare my belly?
Show as much or as little as you want. There are many solutions for those women who want a more modest photo.

For Newborns:
What is the best age to photograph a newborn?
Hands down the best time to photograph a newborn is within two weeks of their birth.  They sleep better through a session and they haven’t yet developed infant acne which typically develops about three weeks after birth.

When to schedule your session?
Once you’ve decided to have portraits of your newborn made, you should go ahead and book a session. Knowing that the actual birth day can be unpredictable, we will reserve a time frame for you and we will look forward to your phone call of their arrival, and we will set up an exact time at this time.

For Kids:
How can we prepare for the shoot?
You can help make the shoot a cranky-free zone by making sure that the kids are well-rested and fed.  A favorite toy or their favorite music can help make the session feel more like a playmate which helps the kids feel more relaxed which in turn make happy, fun and beautiful photos!

How long will the shoot take?
Allow 1-1.5 hours for photographing.  This will be plenty of time for the kids to warm up and get used to the camera.
